Avoiding OSHA Violations

Duration

1 Hour

About the Course

There are six main categories of OSHA violations, and five of them result in civil penalties. The amounts of fines for infractions increase each year, based on inflation. In 2020, all penalties increased by approximately 1.8%, and the maximum penalty increased by $ 2,300 per violation. However, higher fines and a criminal prosecution are very likely if a violation results in the accidental death of an employee.

With the fines being so high, in addition to the risks of serious health and safety hazards, it makes sense that every employer should be aware of the steps they can take to avoid OSHA violations.
